A client asked me for a small pendant as a gift for their partner. The Gorse Pendant is a simple rectangle in sterling silver, made to be worn every day. On the side I inscribed one word, "yours", and the piece was hallmarked at the Assay Office before it was collected from the studio.
A few days after collecting it, they wrote to tell me he rarely wears jewellery and has hardly taken this off, and that people had stopped to ask about it at a festival. It is honestly the nicest thing to hear. Thank you so much for letting me make it.
