The Splintered Heart Locket on Chainmaille
A love heart shaped locket held together through magnetic force. The locket can physically hold and protect something of value, sentimental or physical, or simply act as a vessel to later fill or empty.
The figures sculpted in relief on the heart’s front stretch toward and away from the locket’s close.
The 012025 series lockets are a turn on transformation, memory, movement connection and pause.
The script on the back of the locket reads:
SPLINTER a feather grows
a wings, water’s edge
returns a body
forgotten LIMB
moves, a brutal
wanting by your hand this matter

a feathered thought, logic strains
The Chainmaille necklace is a heavy hand-soldered link chain with a sculpted heart-pointed arrow toggle closure. A study in mechanised strength, repetition and singularity.
Made in the precious metal of your choice:
.925 silver (sterling);
Gold Vermeil (heavy gold dipped .925 silver).
or as a costume metal piece in silver or gold plated bronze.

Precious metal pieces are hallmarked in their metal fineness by the Goldsmiths' Assay Office under the RKB maker's mark in London.
Custom metal or metal plating: contact the studio if you'd like to request a quote for a design made in a metal other than listed. Example of metals available include platinum, palladium and white gold. Rhodium plating of silver pieces is available to provide tarnish resistance upon request.
*'Made-to-Order' pieces take approximately 3 to 8 weeks to produce by hand in studio before they are ready for shipping. This time frame is dependant on studio scheduling and complexity of the work.
